First time here. Will never go back. Not only am I suffering from the worst food poisoning I've ever had(my daughter and I ate the Pad-see-ew, beef) and to prove point here we have yet to make it home with a 30 minute drive because of the number of stops were having to make it to bathroom! The rest of the food was edible, but absolutely not authentic to the culture and the service was slow.

Very good food and service. Ordered the Peanut curry pad Thai, Gang Ped, and Pho. All the portions were very generous for lunch portions.

Pad Thai is a good choice, and everything else is on par with a good quality Asian take-out. The dine in experience is casual. Focus is on the food, not presentation.

Horrible horrible food. I got shrimped fried rice and paid over 12.00 for a very small container. Rice was mushy and shrimp were tough. Smelled like fish so bad. Then I ordered two veggie spring rolls and got all the way home 45 minutes away and had only one and it was nasty. I tried calling them and got a message saying voice mail has not been set up. Never will go back

The food was amazing! Have been multiple times and never disappointed!! This time I had the red curry fried rice and tried a couple bites of the peanut curry chicken, generals chicken, and the peanut curry pad Thai from the group. Honestly couldn’t go wrong with any dish! The service was quick and friendly!

Amazing food at a great price!

Just plain outstanding food! I've been to over 20 Thai resturants and this was one of my favorites. The prices were good and with nice portions. They also have some Chinese dishes and my dad loved the sweet and sour chicken. I really loved their soups too. I wish I could go there every week, but it's 250 miles away.

Found this restaurant online while driving from Sleeping Bear dunes to Gaylord. I ended up ordering online(for take-out) without knowing even the exact location of the restaurant. The restaurant as-such is small but has a good ambiance and the food was a real surprise. Great food. Highly recommended!!

The Tom-Kha is one of my favorite things to get here. Great tasting soup and a lot of veggies. Also Curry Pad Thai is great.

This is a nice little Thai restaurant. Visited here when I was on the road and I had a great meal.

Fresh good food, large portions

Interesting and somewhat confusing decor, but you don’t even realize it when you start eating. Honestly some of the best Thai food I’ve gotten since moving from Grand Rapids. Will definitely be back.

The fried rice veggies were still hard and the next customer had raw shrimp in her food and the waiter wanted to know from the customer on what to do

Found glass in my food and all they said was wow and sorry, not the first time someone found sharp glass or sharp plastic in there food, never going back!!!!!

The staff was friendly my food was prepared quickly. The lunch portions are generous. They can spice the food from mild to face melting, just ask when you order. I will certainly be visiting more often.

Use to be great. Hope they quit being so cheap and get back to great.

This is a small nice place. The seating is limited, but we have never had a problem getting a seat, close though. The service is good, and the food better. The Tod Tofu is a must, and my wife isn't big on tofu. One thing is if you are a heat fan some time you may need to add more. Some of the wait staff are good at getting the heat, and others are so so. All in all we love this place. It is well priced, and good potions. If you leave hungry you have a bigger stomach than i.

Always very friendly, good service, food is better than the price would lead you to expect. Highly recommend the Papaya Salad (Som Tum) and the Tod Tofu (fried tofu) which isn't on the menu but they will do it anyway. I always get the P2, which is the stereotypical meat or tofu with a savory basil sauce. It's really good all around for a hole in the wall place, absolutely worth checking out!!!

I asked for no onions they put in so many onions, white, green. (-2 stars) bad taste. Threw it straight in the garbage, inedible. waste of money and time. (-1 star)

I was very thrilled with the experience here. The cook and staff was amazin . Our foods were very good. The price is very fair. I was happy to order my soup. Everything went really well. Cant wait to go back.

We drive an hour and a half to come eat here. Best Thai food ever. Satay is my favorite, followed by the Curry Kow Pad, and the Pad Lard Bar. Small little 10 top cafe, great and fast service, and amazing food!!!

They were so nice and courteous. The food was awesome! We ordered the sesame chicken, chicken fried rice and wontons and I enjoyed every single bite! The sesame chicken was the most delicious texture. Not at all having hard chunks but 100% goodness. The rice was especially well done too. Super pleased.

Some of the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. My massaman curry with beef was full of rotten potatoes and really chewy cheap beef. There was a room full of people waiting for service for take out and two girls working. The pad Thai was all noodles and no meat. Yuck. Not going back.

The place was busy so I can understand the very long wait to get our food, however my vegetarian friend ordered a pad thai with out chicken and they gave us one with chicken. They happily took the food back to fix it which was awesome, but the dish they brought back as the replacement was peanut curry (not the meal she ordered) and it still had chicken in it. My other friend's meal did not have tofu as advertised.At that point we had been there an hour and a half and were fine paying for the meal and just leaving. As we got our bills, one of our meals got charged to everyone. So we had to get the bill fixed before we could pay and leave.The staff seemed overworked, I think having more people there to help them would improve the experience a lot.

DO NOT DINE INmight be ok as take out, but when my group of 3 went to eat dinner there we waited an hour and a half to get appetizers, even though there was one other table with people in the building. After the two hour mark, we got our orders but one of them was mixed up somehow with one of the takeout orders, and when brought up they quickly corrected it. But the order was made completely wrong a second time with no apology.Will NOT be eating here again.

Large portions for a great price. I can usually get a few meals out of the dinner sized portion. The food is very good. My Thai exchange student said it was very authentic.

Food here use to be so good. The last several times we have gone the quality has been poor. Noodles over cooked and lake of flavor. We had hoped coming back after a few months things would have improved but sadly they seemed worse.

We used to love this place, but now it's tolerable. Food is good, when they get it right. Wait staff is never the same from one visit to the next. Tonight they were busy with a few large tables so things were slow, but not bad. Wait staff was green, so not very helpful to the guests who had not been in before.

Thai Cafe seems to be back under the management of the original owner. The food and service definitely has shown the past few visits. The food is amazing and delicious as it was years before. Will continue to visit over and over.

Possibly the worst Thai food we have ever eaten! The crab rangoon was empty. Nothing inside but a tiny smear of cream cheese. The tofu was tasteless and tough. $52.00 down the drain! Needless to say, we will never go back!

Update: 6-9-2019Odered a meal tonight and had good food and service. Updating my review accordingly.Original review:Great food when I'm able to get through on the phone to order. Sometimes calls will ring out or the phone gets answered and set on the counter with no one saying anything.

The food was excellent. Flavors in both the curry dish and pad Thai were phenomenal.

Service was awesome. Loved the Pad Thai.

Best Thai food in town!! They also have a Chinese menus if you are looking for an American favorite like sweet and sour chicken. It's all fresh and tasty! Good quality food! Not like your average mall Chinese like the other places in town.

New to the area so trying out the food places. I was excited to try Thai Cafe after reading some reviews. Sadly I was very disappointed. By far the worst Thai food I have ever had. At home currently sick from it. The noodles were over cooked, drowning in sauce. Food had no flavor. Spring rolls were horrible. Do yourself a favor and drive a few miles to Thai Kitchen that place is amazing compared to this joint. Stay away from Thai Cafe unless you want to over pay and puke your brains out.
